Stephanie Acevedo is a strategic and people-focused Human Resources leader with a proven track record of driving organizational success through innovative HR strategies. With extensive experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, Stephanie is passionate about fostering inclusive workplace cultures and enhancing employee engagement.
Stephanie holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Southern New Hampshire University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and Sociology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is also a certified SHRM-CP professional.
As SmartChoice’s Director of People Operations & HR, Stephanie leads the overall operations of the People department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving business success. She spearheads the development and enhancement of company policies and procedures, drives talent acquisition and retention strategies, and implements performance management systems to promote continuous development.
In her free time, Stephanie likes to spend time outside whether it’s playing kickball or softball at a local league, spending time with her goldendoodle Cali or traveling. Stephanie is a lifelong Dodgers fan but loves all sports, she is an avid foodie and enjoys trying new places as she makes her way through NYC.
