Announcing Your New Invoice Format
Dear Valued Customer,
We are excited to announce that SmartChoice will be providing you with a new invoice format beginning with your May 10, 2021 bill.
This change will provide you with additional billing information, a cleaner presentation of your account and invoice, and a better support experience.
Your new invoice format is the first step in our ongoing implementation of our improved billing system. We will be launching a new online billing portal in the coming weeks to offer self-service tools and account management features to update payment options, view call details and usage, and more.
Should you have any questions upon receiving your May 10, 2021 invoice, we kindly ask that you submit all inquiries by replying to the email that accompanies your bill. This will allow our Billing Team to confirm and register your inquiry so that we may respond accordingly. We will make every effort to reply within 48 – 72 business hours with a ticket number to track your inquiry.
What will change:
- Customers may see changes to their Fees, Surcharges and Taxes on their invoices based on how the new billing platform calculates these charges. While we anticipate that any such changes will be minimal, our primary objective is to ensure accuracy and compliance in the application of such charges.
- Some customers may be assigned a new account number which will display at the top of your invoice. Please update your records with your new account number, as you will need to reference it with any correspondence or communications.
- The email with your invoice attached will be sent from [email protected]. Please direct this email address to your primary inbox to ensure that you receive your invoice in a timely manner.
Impacts to Fees, Surcharges, and Taxes:
- Certain recurring charges such as equipment rental fees that were previously invoiced under the Other category will now invoice under monthly recurring charges.
- Other fees and surcharges that were previously invoiced under the monthly recurring category will now invoice under Fees, Surcharges, and Taxes.
- For customers that have been billed a Communications Service Charge, this charge will no longer be listed on your invoice, but allocated to other fees and surcharges appropriately.
What will not change:
- Your billing cycle will remain from the first of the month through the end of the month.
- Your invoice date will still be the 10th of each month, and payment will still be due on the last day of the month.
- The payment remittance name and address remain SmartChoice, P.O. Box 2693, New York, NY 10108-2693.
- If you are currently set up for automatic payments, your payment draft will occur on the same date as previously.
