Senior Director of Client Solutions
As Senior Director of Client Solutions at SmartChoice, Floyd Feather leads the company’s Client Success function, overseeing Account Management and ensuring existing clients receive the white-glove support SmartChoice promises, from office moves to service changes to ongoing account needs. He also partners closely with the Sales and Partner teams to provide solution design and architecture during the sales process for new, prospective clients.
Client experience and retention sit at the core of how Floyd leads. His approach pairs strategic thinking with hands-on attention to the details that drive retention: responsiveness, follow-through, and building internal teams that stay aligned around the client’s goals. He works across departments to identify growth opportunities, surface emerging technologies, and sharpen competitive positioning, but the throughline in his work is always the client relationship, understanding what clients need, anticipating where they’re headed, and making sure the operational side of the business delivers on that promise long after the contract is signed.
Floyd brings more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications and technology, with a track record of exceeding performance targets by building teams that execute well and clients that stay. He joined SmartChoice in 2020 as Director of Client Solutions and was promoted to Senior Director in 2022. Before that, he spent close to fifteen years in account and solution design roles at PAETEC and MASS Communications, where he built and maintained client and channel partner relationships, streamlined telecommunications services for multi-site enterprise clients, and managed complex network and PBX solution proposals. Earlier, Floyd served as Communications Division Head and 911 Coordinator for the Wyoming County (New York) Sheriff’s Office, leading a team of public safety dispatchers, a foundation in high-stakes operational reliability that continues to shape his approach to client support today.
Outside of the office, Floyd is a board member of a local, New York-based nonprofit organization. He enjoys traveling, sailing, and hiking, and is a dog dad to Oliver. Floyd attended SUNY College at Geneseo and currently resides in Stamford, Connecticut.
