NEW YORK, NY – SmartChoice (SmartChoice), a leading telecommunications provider, has completed another successful 5-Tool Move of over 400 employees at premier commercial services provider, Alliance Building Services. SmartChoice’s 5 Tool Move is an elite full-service package consisting of voice, data, wireless, audiovisual (AV) and infrastructure solutions ideal for clients moving into new spaces.
Alliance is one of the largest privately held commercial building services provider in North America providing many different types of services including Janitorial, Security, Technology Solutions and Electrical Services throughout the tri-state area. Maintaining an overall roster of approximately 5,000 employees, Alliance entrusted their current provider, SmartChoice, with handling the move to their new main office located in Midtown Manhattan.
“With operations taking place around the clock in Alliance-serviced buildings all over the tristate area, we knew avoiding downtime was absolutely essential to their productivity and the success of their move,” stated Basil Stepanov, SmartChoice’s Chief Technology Officer.
For Alliance’s move, SmartChoice deployed all necessary infrastructure including server rack and room design, as well as cabling for voice, data and AV to ensure a smooth network migration. Hosted VoIP was provided via SmartChoice’s fully-redundant network, with equipment residing offsite—saving Alliance the time and resources involved with managing the network in-house. Installation of televisions and phones were also facilitated by SmartChoice-Certified Technicians, who were available onsite every step of the process.
Taking place on a Friday night, the move occurred during normal business operations with absolutely no network downtime. “We partnered with Smart Choice 5 years ago and could not be more thrilled with the quality and reliability of their service,” stated John Scimeca, IT Manager of Alliance. “Since the move, we’ve been experiencing fast voice and data speeds with no downtime.”

The Jillian Fund is an organization that works to keep families who are in need during their most critical times united. The organization believes children who are facing life threatening health issues should not have to face them alone. Oftentimes, a seriously ill child must stay at the hospital alone because the parents cannot leave work because of financial reasons. The Jillian Fund works to provide the support that the family needs so a parent can take time off work to stay with the sick child.
BrightPoint Health works to provide an extensive range of mental health care, social support services and medical health services to residents throughout New York. BrightPoint provides support and care to those who need it, but who are often not covered by insurance. Donations help to fund the agency’s critical support services, which make a significant difference in the outcomes of patients while also keeping costs down.
