Company Background

Superdry is an exciting contemporary brand which focuses on high-quality products that fuse vintage Americana and Japanese-inspired graphics with a British style. They are characterized by quality fabrics, authentic vintage washes, unique detailing, world leading hand-drawn graphics and tailored fits with diverse styling. Such distinctiveness has gained the brand exclusive appeal as well as an international celebrity following. Superdry has a significant and growing presence around the world, operating through 515 Superdry branded locations in 46 countries. There are 139 owned stores across the UK and mainland Europe, 208 franchised and licensed stores, all but one outside the UK, and 168 concessions.

The Problem:

Prior to Smart Choice Communications (SCC), Superdry was using multiple separate systems from a variety of different providers. Their traditional phone systems were becoming inadequate and had problems with service reliability and proved inflexible, offering little ongoing product enhancements or cost savings. Superdry’s IT Manager Edwin Gomez needed to connect multiple company locations on a high-speed network with significant cost savings.

Smart Solution:

Downtime and the resulting losses were the primary reasons Superdry abandoned their traditional telecom system and replaced it with SCC’s Unified Communications Platform. One of the key benefits the company experienced right away was the cloud’s reliability. Because the platform is supported by servers in multiple locations, the system remains operational even if there are widespread outages in one region. An additional benefit of switching to SCC was the cost savings. SCC went to each site and installed Polycom IP telephones and conducted training on the new phones for their users.
