Einhorn Harris is not your typical law firm because they are not your typical lawyers. For more than 50 years they have represented New Jersey residents with complex legal matters ranging from personal injury and family law to domestic violence and commercial litigation. The legal team has been appointed to leadership positions, participated in the state’s most published matrimonial decisions and received some of the highest honors and awards from industry leaders and various media outlets.

The Problem

Einhorn Harris was using a traditional telecommunication system for all its voice needs and the phone systems were very costly. Between purchasing the phones, subscribing to a voicemail service, and paying the salary of a receptionist to answer and transfer calls, the costs added up quickly. Before making the switch to Smart Choice, Edward T. Sousa, Facilities Manager at Einhorn Harris, knew that they were in need of a reliable phone system that they could afford, paired with better communications that allow for mobility and flexibility. The end goal was for Smart Choice to help the firm increase revenue while providing a reliable voice solution.

The solution is entirely in the cloud providing them with a secure, flexible service that allowed them to satisfy all of their communication needs. With the ability to engage in audio or video calls from anywhere, the staff at Einhorn Harris could take calls remotely without customers knowing they were out of the office. Now, when attorneys are out of the office, their phones can be programmed to be forwarded to their cell phones or other associates, and clients can speak to live employees when they call. Conference bridges are used daily so people from various locations can interact with each other just like in a face to face meeting if they have a computer, a web camera, headsets, a phone line, internet connection and a proper conferencing service.

Hosted-PBX services are ideal for companies who want to gain control of their voice and data networks—at a price they can afford. With a cloud-based system, there are many advantages including: ease of use, scalability for a growing business, and business unification. The Smart Choice solution has improved customer service and increased employee productivity, while helping Einhorn Harris save money on their phone system. Smart Choice’s OmniPortal displays tons of voice service features in one simple to use portal. Analytic reports are directed from the company Omni Portal to the CEO’s email to illustrate the call activity of his employees so he has a better understanding of individual performance and what the employees are doing throughout the day. Smart Chat++ and SmartFax connect the workforce to provide an increase to employee efficiency by allowing for team collaboration. Faxes, including motions, pleadings, settlement offers and other legal documents, arrive electronically and are delivered directly to the recipient’s online inboxes. Previously, faxes arrived and then sat until noticed causing delays and lost revenue. SmartReceptionist is another feature built directly into the OmniPortal that is fondly used by the firm to help simplify directing calls to the appropriate agent, easily find co-workers extensions and dial right from the screen, and also see which employees are currently on a call. Smart Choice Communication’s cloud-based Hosted-PBX, and all its features, significantly reduced voice costs while improving business productivity.
