The Challenge:

Dragados requested assistance in converting their world-wide offices to Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) from their tradition phone system. They were interested in reducing the operational costs of its telecommunications infrastructure while increasing companywide communications. Dragados selected Smart Choice’s solution due to its powerful features, which provide a professional communication method for their branches. The platform connects the offices via Internet Protocol (IP), thus allowing for highly flexible communication between sites, while keeping costs down. Prior to Smart Choice, Dragados used an analog PBX system that was managed by its IT team and multiple telecommunication providers. This PBX became much too difficult and expensive to maintain.

Furthermore, Smart Choice Communication solution is very easy to use, customizable, and eliminates the difficulty of monitoring communications with multiple locations, enabling the effective management of several sites.

Dragados needed a telephony solution that is simple to implement and operate, scalable, and cost effective. The Smart Choice system improved communications significantly throughout Dragados and at the same time reduced the telecommunications cost. The all-in-one platform provides team messaging, voice, video, meetings, and conferencing. With Smart Choice, every employee now has a powerful way to communicate and collaborate from any device and from anywhere. The ability to use softphones makes it possible to control call traffic efficiently and appropriately, with automated transfers to mobile phones from extensions. In addition, their customer service has substantially improved with the ability to transfer calls between locations. The monthly phone rates have gone down and Dragados has experienced improved reliability. Now, employees are communicating effortlessly without worrying about potential phone outages. Dragados uses VoIP capable phones throughout all their offices for several of the features to help promote business communications with the added bonus of configuring new features without having to rely on multiple telecommunication providers. Features such as integration of voice mail to email, extensions and queue configuration, real-time monitoring and a powerful reporting system.
