Smart Choice Communications is looking for a Low Voltage Cabling Foreman for medium to large projects. Main position duties are to ensure that all technology and products are installed and maintained in accordance with requirements, including safety. The foreman is essential to the integration process for clients who are upgrading their network telecommunications features.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform work consistently and demonstrate a detailed level of technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Review and monitor operational processes for accuracy, completion, and efficiency, including, but not limited to, estimating, purchasing, invoicing, warehousing, scheduling, and reporting
  • Coordinate and manage several cabling crews and assume responsibility for crew performance
  • Provide necessary training for technicians
  • Manage and schedule workload distribution and staffing levels
  • Manage successful job and project completion, productivity, and project budget compliance
  • Accurately prepare project paperwork, timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, and other projects as required
  • Perform quality checks and prepare red lined, as-built drawings
  • Serve as main on-site customer contact for questions and/or concerns, and attend facility and meetings when required
  • Preside over weekly project meetings with technicians and customers, and implement formal action in compliance with SCC policies
  • Act as a senior company liaison for operational interface with customer representatives
  • Maintain job budgets daily, update job costing tables
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years supervisory or managerial experience with proven track record
  • Minimum of five (5) years in telecommunications, technical, or related construction field
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Verifiable ability to define a project, create a scope of work, create an estimate, develop detailed associated tasks, and manage these to final completion and customer turnover
  • Ability to hire and fire technicians (if necessary) and ensure teams are strong and knowledgeable
